The Maronite Catholic Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles is the first Eastern Rite diocese to conduct a capital campaign in the United States, and first-ever Maronite Eparchy to conduct a campaign worldwide.
This historical and groundbreaking campaign kicked off the public phase on August 18th, in Cincinnati, Ohio at St. Anthony of Padua Church.
Bishop Zaidan truly is a visionary leader, and aptly chose the campaign theme of “Vision for the Future – Mission for Today.” He will personally be visiting all 42 parishes and missions in the diocese to promote the campaign and ask for support.
The Bishop celebrated the Divine Liturgy in honor of the Assumption of the Mary the Mother of God, at the church along with Fr. George Hajj, pastor, and then the parish hosted a campaign event in the parish hall. This included a full meal featuring some delicious Lebanese cuisine followed by a campaign presentation from the Bishop, including showing the campaign video.
